DISCO
Version: 0.75DISCO is a GPU-based guiding center code that traces particle trajectories in MHD output. Currently, output from SWMF is supported, with support for MAGE planned in the future. DISCO implements the Brizard-Chan guiding center equations, including ExB drift, grad-B drift. and curvature drift, and is safe to use with relativistic particles.
Inputs
SWMF MHD Output as directory of .out files. MAGE Support planned in the future.
Particle Initial Conditions • Starting Position • Starting Parallel Velocity • Starting Magnetic Moment • Mass (only 1 per run) • Charge (only 1 per run)
Outputs
Particle Trajectories
Model is time-dependent.
