Agenda

Presentation Guidelines

  • Please check the agenda for the length of your presentation and allow at least 2-3 minutes for questions within your total time limit (unless you are speaking in a panel with a scheduled Q&A at the end).
  • Because of the number of participants and hybrid nature of the workshop we hope that you will understand our firm AV guidelines.
  • All speakers must provide a final copy of their presentation file by 7am EDT the day they are scheduled to speak.
  • Presentation files should be uploaded to the workshop google drive folder (closed - will be posted after the workshop) which is organized by morning and afternoon for each day. Suggested filename: PresentationOrder#_LastName_PresentationTitle. Presentation Order # is the order of your presentation counting from the beginning of each AM or PM schedule block.
  • Accepted presentation file formats: PPTX, PDF, and ODP.
  • For in-person presentations, facility AV staff will manage screen sharing from Windows AV laptops.
  • Virtual presenters should plan on screensharing directly on Zoom from their own laptops.
  • Those giving in-person demos or with special file formats can screenshare directly on Zoom (with muted audio) by letting us know in advance so we can test.
  • All presenters, regardless of presentation mode, must upload their files to the workshop Google Drive folder for backup and archival purposes.
  • At the end of the workshop we will provide a final link to all workshop presentation files and recordings. If there is a concern, please let us know.
  • Mac presenters: The AV laptop is Windows, and messes up some of the fonts in PowerPoint Slides prepared on a Mac. Specifically, Aptos does not render well. (1) We suggest saving your PPTX presentation with your fonts embedded. (2) Alternatively, if you don’t have movies/animations, you can save your presentation as PDF. Here are some instructions to save with fonts embedded on PowerPoint for Mac:
    • Step 1. Open the PowerPoint file that you want to embed fonts, and then go to the menu “Powerpoint” (in the menubar) and select “Preferences”.
    • Step 2. A dialog box will open, and then under the “Output and Sharing” option, click on “Save”.
    • Step 3. Under “Font Embedding”, select the “Embed fonts in the file” option (leave “Embed all characters”). Exit the menu.
    • Step 4. Click save on your PowerPoint file, and upload it to the workshop presentation folder (closed).

NCTS Information: GSFC CS & Contractor Personnel

We reached out to the NCTS team and received more guidance on the requirements for tracking the GSFC travel attendees for the 2026 CCMC Workshop. As long as the traveler/attendee is not incurring any travel costs, which would be the case for this workshop [no registration fee, no parking fee, no toll reimbursement, less than 25 miles from duty station], they do not need to register their attendance for the workshop in NCTS. Please note, the workshop location is less than 25 miles from GSFC. If the traveler/attendee is looking to use NASA funds to reimburse costs for their attendance, then they need to register in NCTS and SCTMS.

If the traveler/attendee is looking to have NASA funds reimburse costs for this workshop, please work with your project support specialist to assist with this process.
