About

SEAES-FC (Spacecraft Environmental Anomalies Expert System – Flow Charts) is a simple tool for performing rapid triage of satellite anomalies with regard to space environment hazards from charged particles. SEAES-FC addresses surface charging, internal charging, single event effects, and event total dose impacts for satellites in Earth orbit and cislunar space. SEAES-FC accesses environment data from CCMC’s iSWA and from NASA’s Space Situation Center, and also accesses instant-run of the SHELLS model hosted by CCMC to provide an assessment for each hazard using data relevant to the time, orbit, and location of the affected vehicle.

Based on a tool originally developed by The Aerospace Corporation: TOR-2020-00349 A Human-in-the-Loop Decision Tool for Preliminary Assessment of the Relevance of the Space Environment to a Satellite Anomaly-Update with REACH and MEO

Note: the tool is developed by the model developers and hosted at the CCMC. It is not a CCMC developed tool. See Tool Developer Contact if you have any question or feedback on the tool.
